Walmart is looking to change the meaning of "retail therapy" according to the Today Show because they just opened their first mental health clinic inside a Walmart store in Texas.
"People can walk in, call or make an appointment online to see a licensed mental health professional about problems such as anxiety, depression, grief, relationship troubles or the stresses of everyday living."
The idea is if you can go get eye exams and things like that at a store, why can't you go to a place that will help you talk about your emotions when you are having a moment rather than waiting for an appointment?
Would you want to use this if it came to Arizona? Do you think it will make a difference or even contribute to changing the stigma around mental health?
