Since September 11, 2001, airport security has been tight and have a whole bunch of regulations as you are probably aware of by now. One of those things, is about getting liquids through TSA including shampoos, conditioners, water and so forth. Now, there is a hack that will actually let you bring your favorite drink through security!
The travel blogger, The Points' Guy's, shared this pro tip last year, and it's worth repeating. According to TSA's rules, "Frozen liquid items are allowed through the checkpoint as long as they are frozen solid when presented for screening. If frozen liquid items are partially melted, slushy, or have any liquid at the bottom of the container, they must meet 3-1-1 liquids requirements."
So, if you are so inclined, you could get away with bringing that must-have drink with you onto the airplane. But you'll have to freeze it ahead of time, and make sure it gets to the airport and through the security line frozen solid. If your regular-sized drink is at all melted, TSA will make you dump it out.
I haven't tried it out yet for myself but I plan to next trip!
