A New Study Finds That Most Kids Pretend To Believe That Santa Is Real

I am so intrigued by this story! There is apparently a new study out according to SlashGear that says most kids pretend to believe in Santa! What the what?!

The study was done by a professor at University Of Exeter's Psychology department. He surveyed about 1200 volunteers where half of them found they didn't believe in Santa and about a third wished they still believed. A third of those people said that their behavior improved if they believed. If parents tell their kids that they better behave if they want presents from Santa, you are gonna behave!

"Despite losing the belief at a young age, 65-percent of people said they continued to pretend to believe as children. Only a third of those surveyed reported being upset upon discovering the truth, while 30-percent said discovering the truth had harmed their trust of adults. Despite that, 72-percent of all parents surveyed reported being okay with — and even happy about — telling their kids about Santa."
