Little Big Town's latest single "The Daughters" is all about uplifting and empowering girls and women.
While backstage at the Mercedes-Benz Interview Lounge at the 2019 iHeartCountry Festival in Austin, TX, the country quartet detailed the powerful message behind the first single off their upcoming ninth album.
"It’s about empowering girls to put off old traditions," Karen Fairchild explained. "[Specifically those] things that are in our head that we tell ourselves. That we are not good enough."
"You are good enough," she continued. "We are equal. And it's not just about just being a girl, it's about your race, and your sexuality. It's yours."
