Carly Pearce recently posted a video of her stunning acoustic rendition of a classic Tim McGraw balled, and the “Standing Room Only” megastar has since shared his reaction.
Pearce, who is slated to join McGraw on his headlining tour in 2024, shared her cover of “It’s Your Love,” the romantic duet McGraw released with his wife, fellow country music icon Faith Hill, in the late 1990s. Pearce said in her caption on Instagram that she “literally can’t wait to hear this song live every night next year on tour,” and hinted that she’d undoubtedly take him up on a collaboration: “Hey [Tim McGraw] if you ever need a duet partner, I know a girl 😉”
Morgane Stapleton, Tigirlily Gold, Nate Smith and others praised Pearce’s cover, including the original artist himself. McGraw followed up with a video of his own, capturing his reaction as he watched Pearce’s video.
“That’s beautiful,” he said as he listened and smiled. McGraw applauded Pearce’s rendition at the end of the video, adding, “that’s awesome. I can’t wait to get out on the road with Carly. She’s a great singer, great songwriter, great entertainer and just a great artist. And better than that, she’s an all-around, really, really, really good person. Great job, Carly, and I can’t wait for us to get on the road and go kick some butt.”
McGraw is set to kick off his “Standing Room Only Tour” — named after his latest full-length album and its heartfelt title track — in mid-March in Jacksonville, Florida. He’ll stop in Ohio, Colorado, Utah, Texas, Wisconsin, Tennessee, North and South Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky and other destinations before ending the tour in late June in Sacramento, California. Pearce previously said that her, “'90s country music heart is SO excited to be joining,” McGraw on tour. See the list of tour stops below.
