Brett Young shared an apology to his fans after canceling two recent shows because of illness. The “Dance With You” star shared a statement and an update on Instagram on Wednesday afternoon (October 4):

“Hey y’all. Wanted to jump on and apologize again for having to cancel the last two shows. If you know me, you know I NEVER cancel shows, regardless of how I feel. I hate it. This one was out of my control. I was too sick and absolutely all my strength and energy was gone. I tried everything but I just wasn’t physically capable. Good news is I’m starting to feel better, make up shows have been scheduled, and my doctors are giving me the green light for this weeks shows. I appreciate y’all understanding and can’t wait to see you!”

“Love you hunny!” Young’s wife, Taylor Mills Young, wrote in the comments. “So glad you are on the mend. I know how much it devastates you to let fans down. This one got you good, you’re only human. Hardest worker I know.”

Young confirmed that the shows slated for this week are on: Bakersfield, California; Las Vegas, Nevada; Sandy, Utah; and Rexburg, Idaho. See Young’s statement here, and see the remaining stops on his “Dance WithYou Tour” below:
