Mickey Guyton debuted her highly-anticipated collaboration with Kane Brown on Friday (July 14), a heartwarming duet penned by Tyler Hubbard, Bebe Rexha and Jordan Schmidt.
Guyton began to tease “Nothing Compares To You” on her social media channels last week, announcing it in a video with the song title and her collab partner carefully bleeped out. Over the next few days, Guyton used emojis to drop hints, including a a down arrow, a coffin and a peach to describe Brown as her duet partner (representing his smash-hit single, “Bury Me In Georgia”). Finally, Guyton declared “no more bleeping,” and revealed that Brown teamed up with her on “Nothing Compares To You.” She said on Friday that she’s “thrilled” to team up with her “brother,” Brown, on the new collaboration.
“I’m so excited to share my new song ‘Nothing Compares To You’ that features my brother Kane Brown,” Guyton said. “I’ve always been such a big fan of Kane and his work, and I felt like this was the perfect song for us to collaborate on. Grateful for the talented writers Tyler Hubbard, Bebe Rexha and Jordan Schmidt for trusting us with this song.”
Guyton’s Instagram followers gushed over the stunning collaboration in the comments, quickly hailing it a fan-favorite (joining “Remember Her Name,” “Better Than You Left Me,” “All American,” “I Still Pray,” “Somethin’ Bout You,” “How You Love Somone” and other previously-released fan-favorite tracks throughout Guyton’s career).
