Chris Hardwick, the host and founder of "Nerdist," "typed" his way into getting Tom Hanks on his podcast. Chris knew of the actor's love of old typewriters and decided to use that To invite Hanks to the podcast, Hardwick sent Tom Hanks a classic typewriter as a way to bribe Hanks to join his podcast. Chris Hardwick asked Hanks to “please accept this typewriter-o-gram as a formal invitation to be a guest on my wildly-popular-with-the-kids Nerdist Podcast.” It ended up working!!
