Over 2,000lbs Of Ground Beef Being Recalled Due To Plastic Contamination

More than 2,000 pounds of ground beef product are being recalled due to contamination. Amity Packing Company, which is a Chicago-based establishment, issued the recall after there were two customer complaints.

The customers complained that they had found "clear, thin pliable plastic" in their ground beef products, according to Newsweek.

According to Delish,

Products in this recall were produced on January 6, 2020 and have expiration dates of January 31, 2020. The fear is that the contaminated ground beef products may be in customer's freezers. The food in question comes in one pound vacuum-sealed packages with labels that read "Pre 95% Lean/5% Fat Ground Beef, a lot code of "0060," and a case code of "11402."
