Taco Bell Recalling 2.3 Million Pounds Of Beef From Restaurants

Taco Bell issued a statement Tuesday saying it had voluntarily recalled 2.3 million pounds of beef from its restaurants in 21 states. Why?

In the statement via Fox 10 Phoenix, Taco Bell said

"The problem was discovered when a customer reported they found a metal shaving in their menu item," the company wrote in a press release. "To ensure the safety of our guests, the company immediately partnered with the supplier to shut down the supply chain, remove the product from restaurants and distribution centers and notify the USDA."

By Monday, though, "100 percent of the affected restaurants" had confirmed they had disposed of the products, according to the statement. Read more here
