Willie Nelson & Family with Special Guest Anna Vaus

Monday, May 20th & Tuesday, May 21st

PHOENIX, AZ – Danny Zelisko Presents the legendary Willie Nelson & Family with special guest Anna Vaus for two nights on Monday, May 20th and Tuesday, May 21st at the historic Celebrity Theatre. Both shows start at 7:30 p.m.

Early in 2019, Willie Nelson and his music were celebrated by an all-star cast of performers including George Strait, Kris Kristofferson, Emmylou Harris, Jimmy Buffett, Jason Isbell, Sturgill Simpson and Eric Church called Willie: Life & Songs of an American Outlaw. The concert was taped for broadcast on A&E at a later date.

With a six-decade career and 200 plus albums, this iconic Texan is the creative genius behind the historic recordings of Crazy, Red Headed Stranger and Stardust. Willie Nelson has earned every conceivable award as a musician and amassed reputable credentials as an author, actor and activist. He continues to thrive as a relevant and progressive musical and cultural force.

In recent years, he has delivered more than a dozen new album releases, released a Top 10 New York Times’ bestsellers book, again headlined Farm Aid, an event he co-founded in 1985, received his 5th degree black belt in Gong Kwon Yu Sul, headlined the annual Luck Reunion Food and Music Festival at his ranch in Luck, TX during SXSW, launched his cannabis companies Willie’s Reserve and Willie’s Remedy, and graced the covers of Rolling Stone and AARP The Magazine.

Special guest Anna Vaus is The California Kid, the title of her debut EP released last September. Vaus’ deep connection with her home state combined with an ever-growing passion for genuine country music made Nashville the perfect place for her roots to find wings. In 2016, Vaus was the first recipient of the Miranda Lambert Women Creators Fund which awards a female singer/songwriter a scholarship to attend Belmont University. She signed a publishing deal with Black River Entertainment in 2017, and she was chosen as one of the six up-and-coming songwriters in AIMP’s Class of 2018 as well as one of CMT’s Next Women of Country Class of 2019. The music video for her song “Day Job” is currently featured on CMT’s 24/7 music channel.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets ($71 and $131) are still available at Celebrity Theatre, 440 N. 32nd St., in Phoenix, or online at www.celebritytheatre.com. To charge by phone, call 602-267-1600 ext. 1. All tickets are subject to facility and ticketing surcharges. All ages welcome.
