Chandler and Tempe will soon see an influx of new office space, with a total of 2.5 million square feet under construction in those two cities alone.
The two compose 83 percent of the office space under construction throughout the Valley, with 3.1 million square feet being built in total throughout metro Phoenix, according to a study released late last week by CBRE Group Inc.
The Tempe construction may not be enough to keep up with demand, said Jessica Morin, a senior research analyst with CBRE. Vacancy in Tempe is below 5 percent.
