5 Things To Do In Phoenix For Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day weekend is upon us and it's time to soak up the sun, enjoy time off from work, get some good food and of course honor the men and women who have served our great country. 

This weekend, Phoenix is host to A LOT of events happening including the hottest pool parties, festivals and places to eat some of the best summer food. 

1. Talking Stick Resort’s Release Pool Party will feature EDM superstar Kaskade on May 26 and RL Grime on May 27. Tickets are still available but will go fast as the weekend approaches! If you're up for big beats, great drinks and a pool scene... this is right up your alley this weekend!

2. Looking for something cool at night? Hot air balloons will light up the sky in Cave Creek for their Hot Air Balloon Festival! This will feature live music, food, drinks and activities for the kids! Day of event at the gate: Adults $20, Kids $15 for ages 12 and under; children 2 and under enter free. The balloons start to inflate and glow around 7:30 p.m!

3. It's back and it's a staple event of Downtown Phoenix. Phoenix Comic Fest returns for Memorial day Weekend and thousands of fans will flock to the Phoenix Convention Center to meet  their favorite creators, actors, authors. Tickets are still available via Phoenix Comic Fest website!

4. This Memorial Day weekend is the last chance to see actual relics from the ancient civilization of Pompeii at the Arizona Science Center. The over 200 artifacts feature what life was in Pompeii before and after the explosion of Mount Vesuvius. Tickets are available at the Arizona Science Center website!

5. This is your chance to get up-close and personal with mermaids swimming at Odysea Aquarium! There are numerous events that revolve around the mermaids such as breakfast with the mermaids, photo opportunities, hair braiding and face painting! Tickets are online at Odysea Aquarium's website!
