7-Eleven Is Testing Cashier-Less Checkouts

Amazon has already started launching cashier-less stores and there are ton of stores like Target and other grocery stores that have self-checkout. 7-Eleven is the next retailer who is testing a cashier-less checkout. Looks like this is becoming the future eh? Less human interaction!

According to the Verge & Digiday, 7-Eleven is testing this out in Dallas stores this week.

"The technology will allow customers to scan the barcodes of items they want to buy and then pay through their phone, either with a card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. Customers will need the 7-Eleven rewards app to complete the transaction."

Only catch is that you need the 7-Eleven app and oh, you will need assistance from an employee if buying hot food or alcohol which makes sense. Gotta check those IDs!
