Miranda Lambert has been going strong touring since her first release 'Kerosene' in 2005. It appears that's all about to change. Miranda has announced she is taking a break from touring, which she admits is both terrifying and exciting all at once.
“This is the longest break I’ve ever had since I was 17, since I started playing music,” Miranda admits.
“It’s kind of scary ’cause you just get your autopilot, and you know what you’re doing,” she adds. “And then it’s like, ‘Wait a minute, do I really, do I remember how to do this?’”
Lambert says taking a break is the best thing for her both professionally and personally. “It’s good, too, because then your batteries are recharged and you feel like you have more to give,” she says.
Miranda fans will have lots of chances to see her in concert before she takes a break. She’s joining Jason Aldean for three shows on his Burn It Down Tour this summer, and will take to the road for several of her own shows in July, August and September highlighting songs from her new album ‘Platinum,’ which will be released on June 3.
