Garth Brooks wins big but it’s not for his music – it was in court. Garth won a lawsuit against Lisa Sanderson, the former CEO of his company Red Strokes Entertainment which is no longer in existence after shutting down in 2010.

Brooks legal dispute with Sanderson focused on $226,000 Garth gave her to pay her legal fees to help gain custody of her son. Sanderson claimed it was a gift, but Brooks said it was a loan. Garth said they had discussed re-paying the money on a payment plan several times.

A federal judge in Nashville ordered Lisa Sanderson to repay the loan to Garth Brooks along with legal fees, six years of interest and collection costs.
