Monday brought an arrest in the home invasion and armed robbery involving Scotty McCreery and some of his college friends at an apartment near the campus of North Carolina State University, where Scotty is a student.
One suspect, 19 year-old Mikkail Jamal Shaw turned himself in to police Tuesday and awaits had his first court appearance Wednesday. He's been charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, and is being held on a $375,000 bond.
Police are still on the hunt for the two other suspects. The robbers took three cell phones, two wallets and a computer before fleeing. No one was hurt.
McCreery’s mom says he's home safe and in Garner, North Carolina now.
